Job summary

AvantStay is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance across our short-term rental properties, including residential and boutique hotels. You will diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance issues, schedule work, and document all activities in our system.

You will spend most of your time performing hands-on maintenance while occasionally coordinating with local managers and third-party vendors.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in property maintenance.
• Electrical, plumbing, pool, HVAC and landscaping knowledge.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Comfort using apps to document work.
• Must have own tools.
• Weekend/holiday availability and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Area Manager to resolve maintenance issues at properties.
• Perform maintenance such as repairing furniture, unclogging drains, painting, and replacing broken items.
• Prioritize issues before guest arrival and during stays.
• 80% of time performing hands-on maintenance.
• 20% of time supporting local managers with 3rd party vendors.
• Assist in obtaining quotes for maintenance work by vendors.
• Document all maintenance and billing details in the system.
• Maintain organization and upkeep of supplies in storage.
• Onboard new properties with basic maintenance and security installations.
• Move heavy objects and be on feet for prolonged periods.
