Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician for Bowery West in Charlotte, NC. The role covers technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas clean, safe, and functional to Greystar standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience acceptable.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trades.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by law; safe tool use required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to interact with residents.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; basic math skills.
• Proficiency with basic internet, word processing, and spreadsheets; database basics helpful.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs per safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units; manage inspections and punch lists.
• Maintain grounds, exteriors, amenities, and common areas to Greystar standards.
• Inspect work of others and contractors; ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with Community Manager on supplies.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist budget discussions.
• Support safety programs and MSDS compliance; enforce OSHA guidelines.
