Job summary

Greystar in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to oversee the upkeep of the community, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality in buildings, grounds, and common areas. You will respond to work orders, supervise make‑ready tasks for vacant units, manage vendors, control supplies within budget, and assist the Community Manager with routine capital projects.

Required are EPA Type I/II or Universal, a valid driver’s license, hand tools, strong customer service, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools and safe use knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets; basic DB skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform routine maintenance.
• Oversee make-ready processes for vacant units and inspections.
• Develop and uphold cleanliness/appearance standards of grounds and buildings.
• Inspect work by staff and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventive maintenance as per policy.
• Assist Community Manager with budget inputs and capex planning.
• Support cost-control by using parts wisely and safely.
