Job summary

Dairy-Farmers-of-America,-Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Springfield, MO Retort Plant. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily maintenance operations, leads a skilled team, and drives preventive/predictive maintenance to keep a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
• 2 to 5 years of maintenance or related experience with leadership aptitude, team lead experience, or supervisory experience.
• Electrical experience with motor control circuitry up to 480-volt 3 phase is required.
• PLC troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley systems is desired. (Programming is a plus).
• Boiler experience is required.
• HVAC experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and exposure to ammonia systems is a plus.
• Experience leading and following safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign daily jobs and work orders and provide clear directions to maintenance employees.
• Oversee pass down issues and monitor activities to ensure an efficient and safe maintenance operation.
• Implement a predictive/preventive maintenance program to remove unscheduled downtime and extend asset life.
• Use SAP to plan tasks with time, parts, and descriptions to maximize maintenance during operations.
• Ensure maintenance staff understand work practices and procedures.
• Support the maintenance manager to complete preventive maintenance work orders on time.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment.
• Maintain records using databases and CMMS systems.
• Assist with root cause analysis on breakdowns to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with inventory to ensure spare parts availability.
• Stay current with industry regulations and codes for mechanical and electrical systems.
