Job summary

ARDEX Americas is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at our Center Twp., PA facility. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability to support plant operations.

You will develop maintenance processes, manage work orders and spare parts, and collaborate with Engineering on capital projects while upholding safety and housekeeping standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical control/instrumentation troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage maintenance priorities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to train and develop maintenance technicians.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and piping, and variable speed drives.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on maintenance activities to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and prevent equipment issues.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure staffing, tools, parts, and equipment support plant operations.
• Coach and develop team members to improve mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Coordinate capital projects with Engineering and manage maintenance budgets.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and environmental standards; conduct safety audits when needed.

ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com) is hiring an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and support the operation of our manufacturing facility located at 400 ARDEX Park Drive, Center Twp., PA 15001.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable being out on the plant floor, working alongside the maintenance team, troubleshooting equipment, diagnosing problems, and helping get things back up and running.

You’ll bring strong leadership skills, proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Work hands-on with the maintenance team to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and prevent equipment issues.
• Develop, maintain, and improve e-maintenance processes including preventive maintenance, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure the maintenance department has the staffing, tools, parts, and equipment required to support plant operations.
• Coach and work alongside team members to strengthen their mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Manage immediate and long-term maintenance priorities across the plant.
• Develop and maintain a high level of process and equipment knowledge.
• Maintain the highest level of housekeeping at work sites.
• Liaise with Engineering on capital projects.
• Support other plant locations with technical issues, which may require travel.
• Work with the Plant Manager and Engineering on capital and maintenance budgets.
• Maintain the highest level of safety and environmental awareness.
• Conduct safety audits and investigations when necessary.
• Complete employee performance evaluations and manage attendance and performance matters.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred.
• The ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Experience in electrical control/instrumentation troubleshooting and repair.
• Solid Leadership and Communication Skills
• Ability to Train and Develop Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Team
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and piping, variable speed drives and computers.
• Demonstrates good mechanical or hands‑on skills.
• Good critical thinking skills.
• Self‑starter and ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment and in various temperatures.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to follow directions.
• Experience and Ability to read and understand electric schematics and blueprints (preferred)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, Basic Lean 5S and leadership related training preferred
• Must be able to repetitively lift 55 pounds.
• Forklift and hand truck experience required
