Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at our Alsip, IL facility. You will build and lead a skilled maintenance team across 80+ machining centers, drive uptime, safety, and reliability.

This role partners with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Purchasing and Finance to shape maintenance strategy and growth. The ideal candidate brings a technical degree and 3–5+ years in a supervisory role, with strong CMMS and TPM knowledge, plus union environment experience.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 3–5+ years leading or supervising
• 3+ years industrial maintenance
• 2+ years troubleshooting across mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/controls
• 2+ years OSHA, LOTO, machine guarding knowledge

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance technicians for PM, corrective work orders and repairs.
• Prioritize and assign daily work to maximize uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls issues on CNC and production equipment.
• Ensure PM schedules are executed on time; escalate recurring issues for root cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate work records in CMMS/TPM system; coordinate spare parts to reduce downtime.
• Conduct structured shift handoffs and align with other shift supervisor on priorities.
• Develop and coach maintenance team; support hiring and training.
• Champion safety and enforce EHS policies; oversee contractor safety compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement and reliability initiatives; analyze downtime and plan improvements.
