Job summary

Element Resources in Muncie, IN, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations at a major battery recycling facility. The role supervises hourly and salary staff and outside contractors, coordinating environmental, facility, and process-improvement projects while ensuring safety standards.

The successful candidate will have a technical degree and a proven track record in preventive and predictive maintenance, CMMS use, and collaboration with production teams.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 4 years in a progressive maintenance organization with supervisory experience.
• Understanding of preventive & predictive maintenance, FMEAs, RCFA, and autonomous maintenance.
• Ability to operate CMMS; MP2 is a plus.
• Read technical information and create maintenance activities.
• AutoCAD experience and Drawing View ability.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with Toyota Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of hourly maintenance staff and contractors.
• Complete daily routine checklist and schedule personnel.
• Manage attendance and payroll for hourly staff.
• Plan and implement maintenance projects with production.
• Integrate activities with other departments and Kaizen events.
• Manage PM, PDM, and breakdown repairs of plant equipment.
• Support outage planning and safety policy enforcement.
• Ensure Safe Work, Hot Work permits are used appropriately.
