Job summary

Element Resources in Muncie, IN seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead the Refining and Environmental teams, ensuring production goals, quality, and cost targets are met. You will supervise Supervisors and hourly staff, schedule shifts, and coordinate across maintenance, environmental and safety functions.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Manufacturing or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma training strongly preferred.
• Eight–ten years of manufacturing operations experience with management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe conditions and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
• Oversee material flow, staffing, and production/shipping targets.
• Document root causes and corrective actions for missed goals.
• Schedule and cover multiple shifts, including weekends.
• Support continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Environmental, and Quality managers.
