Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor – 2nd Shift will oversee maintenance activities to maximize operational efficiency across the plant. Responsibilities include managing Maintenance Business Management, Inventory (MRO), Recruit to Retire processes, and ensuring equipment and process reliability, including electrical, mechanical, controls, and utilities systems. The role involves developing maintenance budgets, managing computerized maintenance systems, and supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead maintenance personnel to ensure systems operate efficiently to meet production goals.
2. Enhance reliability and maintenance processes to reduce costs and prevent equipment failures.
3. Assess equipment safety and operational status, developing cost-effective preventive maintenance procedures.
4. Implement process improvements and standard operating procedures.
5. Manage maintenance logs, coordinate repairs, and train staff in maintenance practices.
6. Assist in budget management, safety programs, and safety committee activities.
7. Oversee repairs and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility systems.
8. Participate in safety and quality audits, and lead process improvement projects such as Six Sigma and Lean initiatives.
9. Support employee development, performance management, and communication with external vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 1-5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and TPM systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration and boilers is a plus.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen Bradley) is advantageous.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Additional Information
