Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the work of employees responsible for repairing and maintaining the building/facility, equipment, and machinery. This role supports the Maintenance and Operations Department in systems development, cost control, technical training, capital project management, business expenses, safety, environmental, and health issues. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is based in Seabrook, New Jersey.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues individually and through coaching mechanics, resolving malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with the operations department to foster teamwork, leveraging combined expertise and manpower.
  • Define project priorities, direct maintenance staff, monitor performance, and ensure quality work supporting company goals.
  • Provide leadership, including performance management, setting expectations aligned with business objectives, and routine feedback.
  • Manage PDCA processes from problem statement to implementation of countermeasures.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement reliability improvements through procedural changes and equipment upgrades.
  • Develop, communicate, and support procedures and processes for maintenance strategies.
  • Utilize preventive and predictive maintenance techniques to reduce equipment failures.
  • Lead electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, working with circuits up to 480V.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance systems and programs, adjusting as needed.
  • Assist in hiring and manage technical training for maintenance staff.
  • Understand line control, bottle flow, and balance line operations.
  • Analyze data to communicate measures and targets.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of plant machinery repair and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Possess fabrication skills for building/support structures.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage 3-10 employees.
  • Handle staffing, training, safety, and development.
  • Communicate expectations, monitor results, and coach staff.
  • Set strategic goals, evaluate trends, and determine actions.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, detail orientation, multitasking, and time management skills.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • College degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with PC and business systems/software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in food/beverage industry or manufacturing.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Leadership in coaching and training others.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Sufficient physical ability to work in an office, drive, and occasionally work in the field, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working in humid and temperature-fluctuating environments, and using vision and hearing to detect hazards.
