Job summary

Allied Reliability is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to supervise technicians and drive reliable operation of plant equipment. You will enforce safety practices, support quality and regulatory standards, and manage preventive maintenance programs.

Candidates should have 3+ years in maintenance in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and proficiency with SAP. A related technical degree is preferred; relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and electrical principles.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical procedures.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP maintenance modules.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Maintenance Technicians to meet department goals
  • Promote and co-manage environmental, health, and safety practices
  • Promote and co-manage food safety quality, regulatory, and good manufacturing practices
  • Oversee execution and timely completion of maintenance work and contractor services
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance budgets, permits, and environmental regulations
  • Manage maintenance work order accuracy, documentation, and closure in SAP
  • Sustain organized, clean maintenance areas through workplace organization standards
  • Own maintenance metrics and performance reporting
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis and preventive maintenance improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives

Job description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead the maintenance team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities. You will support environmental, health, and safety standards, food safety quality and regulatory requirements, preventive maintenance execution, and continuous improvement to minimize downtime and improve production performance.

Ingredients Required For Your Success
  • Prior experience in a leadership/supervisory role
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and electrical principles
  • Proficiency reading schematics, blueprints, and technical procedures
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills in manufacturing environments
  • Computer proficiency, including maintenance systems and SAP preferred
  • Computer-aided design or drafting experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline preferred
