Job description

Maintenance Supervisor (Finance)

Supervises the general operating maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds to maintain proper care of the assigned community(s) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards/regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supervising scheduled maintenance on H.V.A.C., elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
2. Responding to maintenance requests from residents, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating, and replacing light bulbs.
3. Supervising repairs and maintenance of vacated rooms, including painting walls and cleaning carpets, and inspecting work for quality and compliance.
4. Ensuring proper maintenance of walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
5. Assisting in training maintenance staff.
6. Maintaining positive communication with local authorities and conducting in-service fire safety training for staff.
7. Assessing property damage and filing claims as per company policy.
8. Supervising maintenance technicians and building engineers, including delegating tasks, hiring, training, evaluating performance, and resolving disciplinary issues.
