Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead facility and equipment maintenance in a growing manufacturing environment.

You will manage the maintenance team, ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently, and drive continuous-improvement initiatives. The role requires hands-on leadership, planning preventive maintenance, managing the CMMS, coordinating with engineering and operations, and ensuring OSHA and environmental compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, industrial technology, facilities management, or related field.
• Five+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and facility systems is preferred.
• Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance-management platform.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and support personnel.
• Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

• Manage relationships with outside contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, environmental standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support continuous-improvement, lean-manufacturing, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance department’s operating and capital budgets.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance-management platform.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement experience.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional or similar certification.
• Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations.
