Job Description

If you are a maintenance professional looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sherman, TX location, you will supervise the maintenance, machine shop, and welding departments, managing the daily workload of your direct reports. This role offers involvement in various projects and the chance to impact the continuous improvement of our facility.

Responsibilities

1. Support maintenance of the entire facility, including utilities, HVAC, fire suppressant systems, and MRO crib.
2. Schedule and lead preventative maintenance for all equipment.
3. Manage projects, including preparing Appropriation Requests, issuing purchase orders, tracking spending, and creating layouts with AutoCAD or similar software.
4. Assist in upgrading equipment for safety and efficiency.
5. Coordinate with external vendors for services like landscaping, pest control, and network installation.
6. Monitor janitorial services and manage related contracts.
7. Collaborate with regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and ensure safety compliance.
8. Conduct safety observations and ensure environmental, health, and safety policies are followed.
9. Organize logistics for on-site events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years in facilities/maintenance or engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle.
• Experience with hydraulics, PLC, HVAC, electrical systems, automation robotics, motors, and construction.
• Ability to interpret maintenance prints and schematics; familiarity with CribMaster, AutoCAD, and other software.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with CribMaster software.
