Job description

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate the maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring all grounds, machinery, and systems are maintained according to safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and fiscal budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Site & Equipment Maintenance: Manage corrective and preventive maintenance schedules for facility grounds, machinery, and prototypes. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and agency standards.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, schedule and evaluate a team of up to 12 maintenance employees; conduct performance appraisals and resolve personnel issues.
• Project Management: Coordinate facility upgrades, renovations and installation of new equipment; secure bids for major equipment and make purchasing recommendations.
• Systems & Administration: Oversee maintenance logs, equipment records, and budget preparation ensuring strict adherence to quality management systems (e.g., QS/MS 9000 or ISO) and company policies.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college/technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read technical manuals, safety rules and blueprints. Basic math skills (geometry/algebra) required.
• Communication: Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk frequently, and work in an environment with moving mechanical parts and varying temperatures.
