Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC in North Liberty, IN is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment. You will prioritize work based on production demands, direct a maintenance team and support product development and improvements.

The role requires 2+ years in industrial manufacturing with supervisory experience, strong electrical/mechanical hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge, and the ability to use CMMS and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in an industrial manufacturing setting with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong technical understanding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to learn and utilize CMMS, Oracle and other relevant software for this role.
• Preferred knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external agencies.
• Strong leadership qualities to motivate individuals, including communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Capacity to build partnerships with operations department leadership.
• Skills to lead a diverse team across various crafts.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist in installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools and equipment.
• Schedule repairs and maintenance in line with production demands.
• Oversee maintenance team and activities per manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is completed and training is delivered to team members.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on equipment and systems.
• Develop technical capabilities of less experienced team members.
• Update SOPs and work instructions as needed.
• Complete paperwork neatly (e.g., work orders).
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts and equipment.
• Escalate serious equipment concerns with proposed solutions.
• Support maintenance best practices and maximize direct reports' labor efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and assisting in installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment. This role has responsibility in executing work priorities to team members based on production demands/needs, directs team members on scheduling repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment, supports product development and improvements.

What you will be doing

• Assists in the design, implementation, and modifications of preventative maintenance programs.
• Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality as needed.
• Oversee, direct and schedule maintenance team and activities in adherence to the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance is completed, training is executed to team members, and safety measures are adhered to.
• Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, repair, rebuild and/or replace manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems.
• Assist in developing the technical capabilities and skills of less experience team members as needed and appropriate.
• Update SOP's and work instructions as needed.
• Complete all paperwork neatly and accurately (ie: work orders).
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts, and other equipment to perform job duties.
• Communicate and escalation serious equipment concerns to upper management in a timely manner with proposed solutions.
• Assist with maintenance best practices.
• Responsible for maximizing direct reports labor efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
