Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Cressona, PA is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment to keep production running safely. The role requires hands-on maintenance in an industrial environment and reading mechanical prints and schematics.

This permanent, full-time night shift position offers a $28.58-$42.00 hourly rate plus a $1.00 shift differential, generous benefits, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hands-on mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints, schematics, drawings, and technical manuals. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and equipment required to perform industrial maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and keep production running safely.
• Perform maintenance and repairs involving mechanical systems, hydraulics, welding, pipefitting, and related industrial equipment.
• Read and interpret prints, schematics, drawings, manuals, and other technical documentation to diagnose equipment issues.
• Safely dismantle, adjust, repair, and operate equipment using hand and power tools, cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment.
• Identify the root cause of equipment failures and implement effective, long-term repair solutions.
• Prioritize and complete maintenance work efficiently, often working independently based on production and plant needs.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and other maintenance projects as assigned.

Starting Rate of pay: $28.58-$42.00/ hour

Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift, 5:50pm-6am on an EOWEO/ 2-2-3 rotation. (You may be trained on day shift- but will go to nightshift after trainng.)

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hands-on experience performing mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints, schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and equipment required to perform industrial maintenance work.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Candidate will be required to successfully complete knowledge and skills assessments and participate in training initiatives to maintain and improve skills in required time frames.
• Technical degree, certificate, or other formal training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related trade.
• 3-5 years of practical experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, pipefitting, rigging, cranes, and/or hoists.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Experience maintaining and repairing complex production or manufacturing equipment.
