Hydro Extrusions, a world-leading aluminium extrusion company, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in North Liberty, IN. You will direct maintenance, installations, and repairs of machinery and equipment to support production demands and improve reliability.

We expect 2+ years in industrial manufacturing with supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics, plus CMMS/Oracle familiarity, will be essential.

• Experience in industrial manufacturing settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficient in CMMS and ERP software; Oracle experience is a plus.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and assisting in installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment. This role has responsibility in executing work priorities to team members based on production demands/needs, directs team members on scheduling repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment, supports product development and improvements.

What you will be doing

• Assists in the design, implementation, and modifications of preventative maintenance programs.
• Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality as needed.
• Oversee, direct and schedule maintenance team and activities in adherence to the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance is completed, training is executed to team members, and safety measures are adhered to.
• Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, repair, rebuild and/or replace manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems.
• Assist in developing the technical capabilities and skills of less experience team members as needed and appropriate.
• Update SOP’s and work instructions as needed.
• Complete all paperwork neatly and accurately (ie: work orders).
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts, and other equipment to perform job duties.
• Communicate and escalation serious equipment concerns to upper management in a timely manner with proposed solutions.
• Assist with maintenance best practices.
• Responsible for maximizing direct reports labor efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will make you successful?

• Minimum of 2 years in an industrial manufacturing setting, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong technical understanding across a wide range of areas, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to learn and utilize CMMS, Oracle, and other relevant software for this role.
• Preferred knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external agencies.
• Strong leadership qualities to motivate individuals, including excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Capacity to build partnerships with operations department leadership.
• Skills to lead a diverse team across various crafts.
