Job summary

Village Green is a growing company seeking a Maintenance Service Manager to oversee the maintenance department and keep the apartment community in top condition. You will supervise staff, assign work orders, and ensure timely, quality repairs.

Responsibilities include managing HVAC, boiler, plumbing and electrical services, mentoring staff, assisting in hiring, and contributing to energy management and capital projects. A strong customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, apartment, hospital maintenance/engineering with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with gas furnaces and gas appliances is required.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to mentor and train a team.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing, water heaters, HVAC, boilers; EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Proven track record in preventative maintenance and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of Maintenance staff including delegation of work orders and time management.
• Inspect and oversee existing and completed work orders.
• Handle HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance service requests.
• Mentor and train maintenance staff; participate in interviewing new team members.
• Provide monthly energy management recommendations for the building.
• Identify capital improvements and obtain estimates/bids.
• Assist in budget preparation for maintenance expenses.

As the Maintenance Service Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the apartment community.

Pay: $28.69 an hour plus a quarterly bonus!

Job Description

• Daily supervision of Maintenance staff members including delegation of work orders, special projects and time management techniques

• Inspection and oversight of existing and completed work orders

• HVAC, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests

• Mentoring and training new and existing maintenance staff members

• Involvement with interviewing and selection of new maintenance team members

• Provides written monthly energy management recommendations for the building

• Identifies capital improvements and obtain required estimates/bids

• Assists in budget preparation for maintenance expenses
