Job summary

Village Green is seeking a Maintenance Service Manager to oversee the maintenance department and keep the apartment community in excellent condition.

You will supervise staff, delegate work orders, monitor progress, and ensure HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical and appliance service is performed to high standards. A strong background in hotel/apartment maintenance with at least two years of supervisory experience, plus EPA HVAC certification, is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, apartment or hospital maintenance with 2 years of supervisory leadership.
• Gas furnaces and gas appliances experience is required.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to build, mentor and train a team.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing, appliances and boilers, HVAC systems.
• HVAC certification or EPA Universal Certification required.
• Proven track record managing preventative maintenance and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of maintenance staff and delegation of work orders.
• Insp/oversee of existing and completed work orders.
• Address HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance requests.
• Mentor and train new and existing maintenance staff.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting new team members.
• Provide monthly energy management recommendations.
• Identify capital improvements and obtain estimates/bids.
• Assist in maintenance budget preparation.

As the Maintenance Service Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the apartment community.

Pay: $28.69 an hour plus a quarterly bonus!

Job Description

• Daily supervision of Maintenance staff members including delegation of work orders, special projects and time management techniques
• Inspection and oversight of existing and completed work orders
• HVAC, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
• Mentoring and training new and existing maintenance staff members
• Involvement with interviewing and selection of new maintenance team members
• Provides written monthly energy management recommendations for the building
• Identifies capital improvements and obtain required estimates/bids
• Assists in budget preparation for maintenance expenses

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel, apartment, hospital maintenance/engineering with 2 years supervisory experience leading a team.
• Experience with gas furnaces and gas appliances is required.

• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, appliances, water heaters, chillers/boilers and H.V.A.C. H.V.A.C. or EPA Universal Certification a must.
