DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
This is a comprehensive list, but not limited to:
- Planning and coordinating shift maintenance activities in equipment uptime, safety, PM work order compliance and corrective maintenance schedule adherence
- Manage the daily activities of the maintenance staff. Involvement in development program for technicians by enhancing their skills and abilities through individual performance management.
- Reduction of equipment downtime to improve productivity while ensuring continuous improvement of the technicians’ skills and abilities.
- Support planning, scheduling, and implementing continuous improvement activities that optimize departmental spending, minimal equipment downtime, safety, quality and improvement in other key performance indicators.
- Responsible for activities associated with spare parts management and control.
- Responsible for continued development and management of the preventative/predictive maintenance plans and practices
- Ensures the continued compliance with the State of Indiana’s Pressure Vessel inspection program.
- Support maintenance planner & reliability engineer on machine modification, layout designs, plant layout changes, and new equipment selection.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive for technicians
- Handles discipline management process of employees in accordance with company policy
- Other Assigned duties and projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Good troubleshooting skill on electrical fault, robot packaging machines, pumps and flow/ pressure controls
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the repair of machinery, building, or other necessary repairs.
- Principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job and keeping good relationships with the team
- Possess solid equipment mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment with emphasis on Allen Bradley devices.
- Proficient with following computer software (Microsoft office, Outlook, CMMS).
- Good interpersonal skills and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with a variety of people.
- Read and comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to determine the resources needed to accomplish tasks and the ability to adapt plans to changing conditions and scenarios.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Willingness to work extended hours occasionally and every other Saturdays.

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education: Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
Experience: 15+ years in Management and Maintenance. Prior maintenance supervisory experience is mandatory
