Job summary

Brookside Properties is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Arbor Walk Apartments in Hattiesburg, MS. This full-time role leads daily maintenance operations, oversees a team, and ensures timely service requests and make-readies in a newly renovated community.

The ideal candidate has strong HVAC diagnostic and repair skills, multifamily experience, and the ability to manage budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships while maintaining high safety and resident service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience required.
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and repair experience required.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification required.
• Previous maintenance supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, and general apartment maintenance.
• Pool maintenance experience preferred; CPO certification is a plus.
• Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
• Reliable transportation and basic maintenance tools required.
• Strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily maintenance operations for the apartment community.
• Supervise, train, and support maintenance team members.
• Complete and manage resident service requests and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and other building systems.
• Perform and oversee apartment make-readies and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and maintenance projects.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and assist with budget control.
• Inspect the community, buildings, grounds, and amenities to ensure they remain clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Fair Housing, and company safety standards.
• Provide professional, responsive customer service to residents.

Arbor Walk Apartments is hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at our newly renovated, fully occupied apartment community in Hattiesburg, MS.

We are looking for a hands-on maintenance leader with strong HVAC troubleshooting and repair skills, multifamily experience, and the ability to lead a maintenance team while providing excellent service to residents.
