Job summary

Arbor Walk Apartments in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the team at our newly renovated community. The role emphasizes HVAC troubleshooting and skilled repairs, with responsibility for resident service requests and building systems.

You will supervise technicians, coordinate vendors, and ensure safety and quality across the property, while delivering excellent customer service to residents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience required.
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and repair experience required.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification required.
• Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily maintenance operations for the apartment community.
• Supervise, train, and support maintenance team members.
• Complete and manage resident service requests and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and other building systems.
• Perform and oversee apartment make-readies and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and maintenance projects.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and assist with budget control.
• Inspect the community, buildings, grounds, and amenities to ensure they remain clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Fair Housing, and company safety standards.
• Provide professional, responsive customer service to residents.

Arbor Walk Apartments is hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at our newly renovated, fully occupied apartment community in Hattiesburg, MS.

We are looking for a hands-on maintenance leader with strong HVAC troubleshooting and repair skills, multifamily experience, and the ability to lead a maintenance team while providing excellent service to residents.

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience required
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and repair experience required
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification required
• Previous maintenance supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, and general apartment maintenance
• Pool maintenance experience preferred; CPO certification is a plus
• Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
• Reliable transportation and basic maintenance tools required
• Strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and leadership skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk the property regularly
