Maintenance Supervisor - 1st Shift

Air Power Dynamics (APD), part of the Consolidated Precision Products family, is located in Mentor, Ohio. APD has been supplying pattern assembly for the Investment Casting Industry for over 18 years.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must have previous leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, troubleshooting and repairing equipment skills, and the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise inspection, maintenance, repair, installation, and cleaning of company assets, including infrastructure, utilities, electrical, air conditioning, machinery, and equipment.
• Act as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Interpret and enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Schedule preventive maintenance.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervise Maintenance Department employees, including interviewing, training, and assigning tasks.
• Maintain and plan upgrades for HVAC systems, wiring, lighting, and other facilities.
• Evaluate performance, reward, discipline, and resolve employee issues.
• Inspect work for conformance to blueprints and standards.
• Ensure safety PPE usage.

Education and Experience

One-year college or technical school certificate, or 3-6 years related experience, or equivalent.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, and hear. Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds. Close vision required.
