We are looking for a skilled, practical professional to help develop and manage our maintenance division within our heavy manufacturing and foundry environment. This role offers substantial opportunities for professional advancement within the organization.

Position Overview

• Direct a group of 12 to 18 technicians across three shifts, seven days a week, to ensure plant operations and facilities run smoothly by managing schedules and overseeing project completion.
• Mentor the team by sharing fundamental maintenance techniques and establishing standardized procedures to facilitate ongoing skill development.
• Carry out the established preventative maintenance program.
• Support the coordination and implementation of various plant-wide initiatives, ranging from minor tasks to major projects.
• Help oversee external vendors, service contractors, machinery, and the facility's spare parts inventory.
• This role functions under the direction of the Plant Manager and the Plant Engineering Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Possess a technical degree or relevant certifications in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance fields.
• At least five years of combined experience in managing or executing the following tasks:
• Fabrication and welding work.
• Furnace lining and refractory maintenance.
• Troubleshooting or programming electrical and electronic control systems.
• Managing combustion processes, including burners, temperature controllers, and valve trains.
• Operating and maintaining mobile machinery like wheel loaders and forklifts.
• Maintaining material handling systems and conveyors.
• Managing dust collection bag houses and ventilation systems utilizing 50-250 HP motors.
• Demonstrated success in leadership, strategic planning, and fostering professional growth in others.
• Prioritize a culture of safety and active employee engagement.
• Commitment to coaching and advancing the skills of staff members.
• Proficiency with computer software, including the MS Office suite.
• Proven background in maintaining and optimizing a functional preventive maintenance program.
• Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in capital project management.
• Experience utilizing software and systems for data acquisition.
• Familiarity with operating within a Lean Manufacturing framework.
