Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Typically 8-12 years of relevant experience, including substantial maintenance leadership experience; paper mill experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience coaching and developing individuals and teams to achieve strong performance.

Responsibilities

• Create a culture of employee empowerment, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the maintenance team in following safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to support zero incidents and a healthy work environment.
• Supports capital expenditure projects, including planning, execution, and project management.
• Manage the maintenance budget by tracking expenditures and labor costs against mill and department plans.
• Direct root cause analysis for equipment and system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Use maintenance and production data to identify deficiencies that cause downtime or reduce equipment reliability.
• Provides technical support for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, local, and capital projects.
• Supports and leads elements of preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability, machine improvement, and lean manufacturing programs.
