Requires participation in a team on-call rotation for evening and weekend emergency coverage, typically averaging one week per month.
The regular work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, five days a week (Monday through Friday). Night and weekend work may be required in the event of maintenance needs.
The starting salary will be dependent upon experience and qualifications.
High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED), and four (4) years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EPA Section 608 Certification is preferred. Must have a valid North Carolina Driver's License and maintain a safe driving history as defined by Alamance County Vehicle Use Policy.
Having functional knowledge of computers is preferred.

Membership in the NC Local Government Employees Retirement System (NCLGERS) is a requirement for all full-time and regular part-time employees (working more than 1,000 hours annually). Employees contribute six percent (6%) of their annual compensation before it is taxed.
Annual Leave is accrued based on years of service. Employees can accrue from 10-25 days per year.
All County full time employees earn 12 days of sick leave per year.
