Job summary

Permobil, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Skilled Technician in Belleville for an evening shift (11:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sun–Thu). The role is full-time with possible overtime. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of ROHO equipment, and maintaining equipment records.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or 3–5 years related experience, plus forklift, man lift, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Forklift; man lift; valid driver’s license.
• Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; fabrication skills helpful; PLC and HMI skills helpful; good reasoning skills; good problem solving skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle items and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Ensures operation of machinery by observing performance and addressing any failures; maintains equipment using tools and instruments.
• Maintains equipment database with records of wear, failures, and maintenance actions for predictive maintenance.
• Installs parts and adjusts devices or control instruments as needed.
• Keeps a safe, clean work environment and adheres to safety and quality policies.

• Evening Shift Schedule: 11:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday (ending Friday morning)

Your Role in Our Mission

• Maintainsall ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance on equipment,inspecting and repairing all equipment, and assisting with any other specialprojects.

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by: Observingall equipment to assure proper operation of all systems and find possiblefailures; repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment suchas pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machines andequipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools andprecision-measuring instruments; performing preventive maintenance onequipment; repairing electrical equipment.

• Manage equipment database by: Maintainingwritten records for every piece of equipment; logging work done and failuresin order to establish a predictive maintenance program.

• Adjusts parts of devices and control instruments by: Installingfunctional and structural parts on devices or equipment.

• Maintains safe and clean workenvironment by: Operatingall machinery in a safe and efficient manner; reporting any safety hazards toassigned supervisor or safety manager; complying with all safety and qualitypolicies, practices and procedures.

• Maintains quality service by: Keepingerror rates minimal and within acceptable ranges; maintaining an efficientwork pace; meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity,accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.

• Contributesto team effort by: Maintaininga good attendance record; accomplishing related results as needed.

• Maintainstechnical knowledge by: Attending educationalworkshops, seminars, and conferences.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
