Job summary

Republic Services in Clinton, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment under supervision. You will support our drivers by keeping vehicles in top running condition and learning new technologies on a state-of-the-art fleet.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of experience, basic knowledge of vehicle systems, and the ability to follow procedures and troubleshoot common faults.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in maintenance or repair.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Ability to follow SOPs and troubleshoot common faults.
• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform preventive maintenance and some repair.
• Performs vehicle preventive maintenance inspections, oil changes, fluids replenishment, light repairs, tire changes, and basic electrical work.
• Completes applicable Company training programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
