Job summary

Republic Services in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and air systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering.

Under supervision, you will perform on-site and on-road maintenance, enjoy state-of-the-art equipment, and contribute to keeping routes running while pursuing a clear career path with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel equipment.
• Experience with Class 1–8 trucks, aircraft, or ships is a plus.
• ASE/T1–T8 certification is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of vehicle components and systems; perform preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Repair chassis components and refuse bodies, including hydraulic/electrical systems; service braking systems.
• Perform light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and welding/fabrication as needed.
• Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation efficiently.
