Job summary

Schneider Electric in El Paso, Texas, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leader to head the maintenance department and drive TPM across the site. You will ensure uptime of critical equipment, monitor OEE and related KPIs, and lead a team focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• +5 years of maintenance experience supporting industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and maintenance best practices.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including TPM.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Background in spare parts management and maintenance cost optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting PLC-controlled equipment, automation systems, and industrial controls.
• Knowledge of CMMS and maintenance planning tools.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage maintenance metrics for decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across production, engineering, quality, and leadership teams; proficient in MES.
• Demonstrated decision-making ability, including prioritizing maintenance activities and allocating resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the maintenance department to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of industrial equipment.
• Oversee and drive the TPM program to improve equipment reliability, availability, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance (OEE), KPI(s) and implement actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Manage and develop maintenance team members through goal setting, performance management, coaching, and engagement initiatives.
• Monitor and optimize maintenance expenditures, including spare parts inventory management and cost control.
• Coordinate maintenance team involvement in installation, startup, and ramp-up of new equipment and production lines.
• Ensure business continuity by maintaining equipment readiness and contingency planning for critical operations.
• Utilize data and maintenance metrics to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
