Job summary

Hotard Shuttle is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead the maintenance facility in Port Arthur, TX. You will oversee daily operations, assign tasks, supervise mechanics, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

After six months of training, you will take on after-hour on-call responsibilities 1-2 nights weekly and a weekend rotation. The role requires CDL, diesel maintenance experience, and strong communication skills, with a focus on efficient, safe vehicle upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Diesel Engine Maintenance or 3 years of Management experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write English.
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance facility in Port Arthur, TX.
• Ensure maintenance activities are efficient, safe, and DOT-compliant.
• Lead a team of maintenance personnel, distribute tasks, provide technical assistance, monitor progress.
• Supervise and inspect the work of other mechanics for quality and safety.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks on company vehicles.
• Train staff on proper maintenance procedures.
• Facilitate communication between maintenance and operations.
• Manage after-hour on-call responsibilities and weekend rotation after training.
• Ensure timely completion of documentation and regulatory compliance.
