Job summary

R+L Carriers in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Maintenance Shop Foreman to oversee the preventive maintenance and repair of heavy-duty tractors and forklifts. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm, with PTO after 90 days of employment.

The position requires hands-on experience with trucks, forklifts, air brakes, clutches, and electrical systems. The candidate should be able to perform day-to-day administrative duties and possess own tools.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years in maintenance/repair of tractor/trailers.
• Experience with air brakes, clutches, diesel engines, lights and electrical repairs.
• Manager experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and day-to-day maintenance on heavy-duty tractors and forklifts.
• Execute repairs on trucks and forklifts and on dry van trailers.
• Handle day-to-day administrative duties associated with maintenance operations.

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a Maintenance Shop Foreman at our Gainesville, GA. Service Center.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Performs the preventative and day-to-day maintenance and repair on heavy-duty tractors and forklifts.


• Perform day-to-day administrative duties.


• All repairs and major repairs on trucks and forklifts.


• Truck, forklift and dry van trailer experience would be a mandatory.


• Experience with air brakes, clutches, electrical repairs PM's, lift-gates, overhead door repair, etc.


• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of tractor/trailers (air brakes, clutches, diesel engines, lights and electrical repairs).


• Mechanic experience would be a plus


• Manager experience would be a plus


• Must have own tools
