Job summary

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic at our Gainesville, GA Service Center. You will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, performing preventive maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

We offer full-time employment, Monday–Friday, 1st shift from 7am to 5:30pm, with a competitive benefits package and vacation after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Work on trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding as location requires.
