Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Maintenance at our Tilden Mine site in Ishpeming, MI. This role provides management oversight of all maintenance related projects in the Tilden Plant and ensures MSHA-safe operations.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and supervisory experience, with ability to read Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided). It involves rotating shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided).
• Rotating shift role that alternates weekly. Must be able to work alternate schedules that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime, and be punctual while doing so.
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet MSHA standards.
• Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule.
• Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.
• Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel.
• Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior shift manager daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
