Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Maintenance at our Tilden Mine site in Ishpeming, MI. This role provides leadership over maintenance projects and ensures safety and quality in all tasks.

You will coordinate daily work, review progress with the senior shift manager, coach the team, and ensure schedules and CMMS/Gantt charts are used effectively. The position requires rotating shifts, flexibility, and commitment to meeting maintenance goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided).
• Rotating shift role that alternates weekly; must be able to work early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet MSHA standards.
• Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule.
• Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.
• Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel.
• Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior shift manager daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
