Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Shift Manager Maintenance at the Tilden Mine site in Ishpeming, MI, to oversee maintenance projects and ensure safety and MSHA compliance.

You will assign work, coach staff, monitor progress, and report deviations. This is a rotating shift role with early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience supervising maintenance or similar role.
• Ability to read and understand Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided).
• Willingness to work rotating shift including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

• Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule.
• Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.

• Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior shift manager daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Maintenance at our Tilden Mine site. This position will provide management oversight of all maintenance related projects in the Tilden Plant.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Ensures that all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet all MSHA standards.
• Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule.
• Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.
• Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel.
• Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior shift manager daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided)
• Rotating shift role that alternates weekly. Must be able to work alternate schedules that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime, and be punctual while doing so.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent education.
