Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Ishpeming, MI, is seeking a Shift Manager for Pellet Plant Operations to oversee a high‑volume iron ore processing and pelletizing facility.

You will lead a crew, ensure safety, quality, and productive performance, and communicate with maintenance, engineering, and management to meet daily targets. The role requires 1–3 years in mineral/industrial processing, a 2‑year technical degree, and strong problem‑solving and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in a mineral or industrial processing facility.
• 2-year technical degree.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Competent communication skills both oral & written.
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete tasks.
• Problem solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Preference for prior supervisory experience.
• 4-year degree preferred.
• Relocation assistance is not provided.

• Ensures proper resources are available for effective work execution and to maintain continuous operation.
• Communicates with plant operators, plant repairmen, engineering and management staff to accomplish common goals.
