Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician to perform hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, tiling, masonry, and appliances. The role requires diagnosing problems, providing on-site troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable laws.

The candidate will handle service requests, preventive maintenance, on-call rotation, tool management, and documentation while contributing to community and company engagement

Qualifications

• One year of experience in maintenance related field(s).
• Successful completion of Basic Electric class offered at SMC internal training facility.
• Successful completion of all other basic maintenance classes offered internally and all on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're seeking a Service Technician with a whatever-it-takes approach to join our team! In this full-time role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the physical asset meets both company standards and applicable laws. As technician, you'll diagnose problems and make repairs. You will provide hands-on trouble-shooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, tiling, masonry and appliances.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Address, follow up and document service requests


• Assist with inventory maintenance


• Diagnose heat problems and repair or replace components, as needed


• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units
