Job summary

STERLING in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Maintenance/Service Technician responsible for making-ready repairs to vacant units prior to move-in, with HVAC certified preferred.

You will handle on-call duties, assist the Service Manager and other staff, perform work orders, inspect units, and maintain a safe, clean maintenance shop.

Applicants should have HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry skills and knowledge of SDS/OSHA; current CFC certification preferred; willing to train where needed.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills required or trained.
• OSHA and SDS knowledge expected.
• CFC certification required or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Be on 24-hour on-call, as scheduled by the Service Manager.
• Assist Service Manager, Housekeeper and Grounds staff as needed.
• Inspect property for improvements and repairs with Service Manager.
• Process work orders and complete same-day completion when possible.
• Maintain clean maintenance shop and ensure safety and organization.
