Job summary

Sumter Square Apartments in Raleigh, NC seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform make-ready repairs in vacant units and support on-site operations. HVAC certified candidates are preferred; on-call duties are required as scheduled by the Service Manager.

The role involves addressing plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks, and maintaining safe, clean facilities with attention to inventory and supplies. Regular duties include inspections and timely response to maintenance requests.

Qualifications

• Versatile skills in plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Knowledge of SDS and OSHA rules applicable to maintenance.
• CFC refrigerant certification preferred or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Be on-call 24 hours as scheduled and respond to paging.
• Assist the Service Manager, Housekeeper and Grounds as needed.
• Oversee inventory and maintenance materials usage.
• Inspect property; review improvements with the Service Manager.
• Maintain a clean maintenance shop and professional appearance.
