Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary;
AND 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in maintenance repair work(e.g.,basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment);
ANDValid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure.
POSITION SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires valid driver license to operate state vehicle

May work evening shift; may be exposed to high & low temperatures; may be exposed to weather.
This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency.
