Job summary

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development in Hammond seeks a Maintenance Repair Master to oversee the maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of all DOTD-owned buildings, facilities, and welcome centers in District 62. This role leads a team and coordinates material purchases.

The position is located in Unit 701, reports to the Maintenance Foreman, and involves work across DOTD facilities. Required are advanced carpentry and plumbing skills, a valid Class D chauffeur's license, and

Qualifications

Three years of experience or training in building construction trades or related maintenance.
Two-year vocational program in general building construction plus one year of related experience.
Twelve semester hours in construction management or related fields plus one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and rehabilitation of DOTD buildings, facilities, and welcome centers.
Construct additions, renovate, repair roofs, and install interior finishes and fixtures.
Install and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components as needed.
Coordinate purchasing of materials and supervise maintenance crews.
