Job summary

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County in Syracuse, NY, seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to perform general maintenance and repairs, coordinate client relocations, and supervise maintenance staff in the field.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree or trade school plus three years of relevant experience, a valid NY driver’s license and SCR clearance, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or trade school plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in property maintenance and repair preferred.
• Valid NY Driver’s License and SCR clearance.
• Basic computer skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Lived experience in the community is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, heating, and AC.
• Remodel and maintain properties (sheetrock, painting, masonry).
• Relocate clients with logistical coordination with staff.
• Provide on-site supervision to maintenance staff in the field.
• Provide daily updates to Operations Manager and update work orders.
• Perform inspections using HUD HQS form.
• Coordinate with contracted services for upkeep of apartments.
• Maintain a safe environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
