Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Team Manager - Maintenance & Engineering to lead maintenance operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement while developing high-performing teams across Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Skilled Trades.

You will champion preventive/predictive maintenance, manage budgets and spare parts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience plus significant technical training.
• 5+ years of maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or industrial operations experience.
• Experience leading maintenance operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of assembly manufacturing processes and the Ford Production System.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma and structured problem-solving tools (Global 8D/4D, Root Cause Analysis).
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions to achieve business results.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safe and Reliable Operations: champion safety culture, ensure compliance with standards, lead safety initiatives, drive reliability, maintain OS standards.
• Drive Operational Excellence: lead data-driven improvements, perform root cause analysis, coordinate launches, monitor metrics.
• Optimize Cost and Performance: manage budgets, develop business cases, improve inventory and maintenance programs, balance priorities.
• Develop High-Performing Teams: coach supervisors and trades, foster accountability and engagement, align goals across functions.
