Job summary

FoodScience LLC in Williston, Vermont, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and build a proactive, reliability-focused program in a manufacturing setting. You will drive preventive and predictive maintenance, develop KPIs, and partner with Production to balance immediate needs with long-term equipment health.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, CMMS, work order management, and equipment reliability.
• Experience developing or significantly improving a maintenance program within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to balance Maintenance and Production priorities while building strong cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Improve work order management, scheduling, prioritization, and documentation.
• Establish meaningful maintenance KPIs around equipment breakdowns, downtime, PM completion, and reliability.
• Use CMMS tools to improve maintenance planning, asset history, and performance visibility.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement sustainable solutions that address root causes.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships between Maintenance and Production.
• Balance production priorities with preventive maintenance and long-term equipment needs.
• Partner with Operations leaders to effectively prioritize maintenance work and resources.
• Navigate competing priorities and resolve challenges collaboratively.
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Maintenance team.
• Establish clear expectations, accountability, and development opportunities.
• Identify and lead improvement initiatives that increase uptime, efficiency, and equipment performance.
• Support capital planning and manage CAPEX projects from planning through implementation and startup.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve equipment, processes, and overall operational performance.
