Job summary

FoodScience LLC in Williston, Vermont is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a proactive reliability-focused program and develop a best-in-class maintenance approach. You will partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality to balance short-term needs with long‑term equipment reliability and uptime goals.

The role requires 5–7 years in maintenance leadership, strong CMMS knowledge, and a track record of improving maintenance programs in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a maintenance team
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, CMMS, work order management, and equipment reliability
• Experience developing or significantly improving a maintenance program within a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to balance Maintenance and Production priorities while building cross‑functional relationships
• Experience with capital planning and project management
• Strong problem‑solving skills with root cause analysis and long‑term solutions
• Strategic continuous improvement mindset and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen a proactive, reliability-focused maintenance program
• Improve work order management, scheduling, prioritization, and documentation
• Establish meaningful maintenance KPIs around equipment uptime and reliability
• Use CMMS tools to improve planning, asset history, and performance visibility
• Lead cross-functional partnerships with Production, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
• Coach and develop the Maintenance team and establish accountability
• Identify and lead improvement initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency
• Support CAPEX planning from planning through startup
