Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a Maintenance and Project Manager to lead maintenance activities and capital projects across our plant operations in Florida. You will oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work orders, while ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance supervision or project management within manufacturing or chemical environments, strong CMMS knowledge, and proven cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision and/or project management, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical plant setting.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling systems (CMMS).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the chemical industry (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR, PSM, NFPA 70B, API and ANSI).

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with upstream and downstream partners regarding work status, costs and priorities.
• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective support to operations.
• Lead facility change projects including capital projects, from concept development through execution and closure.
• Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams both internal and external.
• Identify and allocate resources; track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with Management of Change procedures and other site policies.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, fostering safety and continuous improvement.
