Job summary

DTE Energy, a leading utility, is seeking an experienced planner/scheduler to prepare and optimize work orders for outages, maintenance, and capital projects. You will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely, cost-effective execution using Maximo, SAP, Documentum, and Office 365.

The role requires strong planning, estimating, and coordination skills to deliver efficient, safe, and compliant work packages, with a hybrid in-person schedule at an assigned location.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or two years of a four-year program with two years of equipment experience in an electric/gas utility.
• High school diploma plus three years of estimating, scheduling and planning experience in power/utility or related setting.
• High school diploma with seven years of experience in equipment found in power plants or utilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes and define work scope for daily and project tasks.
• Develop accurate time and resource estimates for plans and schedules.
• Create detailed job plans with step-by-step instructions for work scope completion.
• Validate estimates vs actuals to improve data in Maximo.
• Prepare multi-week schedules with milestones for major projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, vendors and contractors to optimize work packages.
