Job summary

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking a Planner/Scheduler at Gene Camp to coordinate maintenance planning and scheduling activities and to provide operational support for Desert Pumping Plants and facilities.

This role collaborates with internal teams and external contractors, organizing resources, timelines, and materials to complete work safely, on time, and with minimal disruption.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years journey-level experience in a relevant trade or craft.
• Experience in a Public Utility such as Water Department, Conveyance & Distribution, Treatment Plant, Sewer, Gas, Electric, Oil, etc.
• License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
• Provide operational support for Desert Pumping Plants and facilities.
• Coordinate and monitor corrective maintenance work orders, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors, organizing resources, timelines, and materials needed to complete assigned work.
• Ensure projects and maintenance activities are completed safely, on time, and with minimal disruption to operations.
